FAQ

Here's our most Frequently Asked Questions, need extra information? Feel free to get in contact!

1. What risks are involved with tree removal or arborist work?

Tree work involves inherent risks, including falling limbs, root disturbance, and potential movement of surrounding trees or structures. We take all reasonable safety precautions, but we cannot guarantee outcomes where trees have hidden decay, unstable roots, or pre-existing defects.

Are You licensed and insured to carry out work in New Zealand?

Yes. We operate in New Zealand and carry appropriate public liability insurance. Where applicable, work is carried out or supervised in accordance with relevant New Zealand standards and legislation.

Do I need counsel consent for construction, tree removals or concrete works?

This depends on the scope of work and your local council rules. Some building work, retaining walls, and protected/native trees may require consent. It is the property owner’s responsibility to confirm consent requirements.

Are your quotes fixed price?

Quotes are based on the information available at the time and normal site conditions. If unforeseen conditions arise (such as ground conditions, access issues, underground services, or safety risks), pricing may be adjusted. Any variations will be discussed and agreed before proceeding.

Who is responsible for locating underground services?

The client is responsible for identifying and disclosing the location of underground services unless otherwise agreed. We recommend using BeforeUdig NZ prior to any excavation or ground works.

How and when do I need to pay?

Payment terms are outlined in your quote or invoice. In most cases, payment is required within 7 days of invoicing. Deposits or progress payments will be required for larger jobs.

How long does concrete take to cure before I can drive over it?

Concrete typically sets within 48-72 hours, but requires up to 28 days to fully cure. We will notify the homeowners/tenants when its ready to be driven over.  Use of the driveway before recommended timeframes may cause damage and void any workmanship warranty.
